After the head is built, and the special features, such as moving eyes, eyebrows or other accessories are added, the head, post for holding the head, and the operating finger levers are inserted into the body frame. 

The body frame creates a housing for the rest of the features of the dummy as well as providing a foundation for the clothing which the figure will wear.
